Production Sound
The world of production sound encompasses a large variety of ever growing areas including Features, Television, Live News, Documentary, Commercial, Corporate and Online Media. My experiences have run the spectrum and beyond, whether I am on location in a California desert filming the King of Hammers off-road race, studying blocking for a scene in the feature Billy Knight with Al Pacino, on-the-fly mixing of a musical performance for a Shelby Lynn television pilot or recording off-camera copy with Rihanna for Fenty. Every new project is treated with unique consideration, and requires experience and focus to address its own challenges.
Playback
Often used to provide music and background sounds for cuing actors, musicians and/or crew during filming to allow for precise timing in production and post. Audio is typically played through loudspeakers and/or an IFB system on set. Examples of my playback work can be seen and heard in the Gwen Stefani/Blake Shelton music video You Make It Feel Like Christmas, the Children’s learning app Q Wunder and the dance sequence for the film Fat Camp.
dialog editing
Dialog editing is a critical stage where the dialogue track is cleaned up, edited and processed to be added as a key element to the final soundtrack. The process typically involves removing unwanted sounds, adjusting volume, control dynamics, increased clarity to properly stand out in the final mix. Dialog can greatly influence the overall realism and emotional impact of a film or video project and therefore should be treated with the utmost priority. Examples of my work can be heard on many comedy specials featured in the Comedy Dynamics online catalog, the film Valley Of The Moon by Luca Pizzoleo and the documentary Hardball: Girls of Summer.
Consulting
As an audio consultant I provide guidance and solutions for client projects by developing guidelines and specifications for their unique needs. Types of past projects: practical effects recording, dialog for motion capture, car to car camera shoots and commercial hidden camera work.
